About the specialist
Specialist in environmental, social, occupational health and safety (HSE) and ESG matters, with more than 10 years of professional experience in the management, implementation, supervision and monitoring of the environmental and social performance of large-scale projects in energy, hydroelectric dams, infrastructure, civil construction, water and sanitation.
He has consolidated experience in projects financed by multilateral institutions, including the World Bank, the African Development Bank (AfDB) and BNDES, ensuring compliance with the World Bank Environmental and Social Framework (ESF), IFC Performance Standards and the applicable Angolan environmental, social and labour legislation.
Throughout his career he has taken part in strategic national infrastructure projects, including hydroelectric dams, transmission lines, electrical substations, water and sanitation systems and major construction works, implementing HSE/ESG management systems, audits, risk assessments, performance monitoring and stakeholder engagement.
He combines technical knowledge, hands-on field experience and command of international sustainability requirements, contributing to risk reduction, improved environmental and social performance and compliance with the standards required by lenders and international organisations.
