- Who issues the certificate? Does Export Lab also certify?
- No. Export Lab prepares and implements; the ISO 45001 certification audit is conducted independently by DQS. Whoever prepares cannot certify, and that separation is what gives the certificate value with clients and regulators.
- What happens after certification?
- Three-year cycle with annual DQS surveillance audits. Maintenance rests on safety indicators, incident investigation, revision of risk assessments when activities change, and internal audit.
- How are subcontractors handled within the scope?
- The standard requires management of risks the organisation creates for anyone working under its control, including on-site contractors. In practice that means selection criteria, contractual safety requirements, site induction and control of high-risk work.
