Access to operator contracts depends on pre-qualification: documented management systems, auditable safety indicators and a controlled incident record. A supplier without a formal system is screened out before the commercial proposal is even read.

ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety, ISO 14001 for environmental performance and spill response, ISO 9001 for process control, and ISO 29001 for the industry-specific supply chain. Many companies integrate the first three into a single system to cut maintenance cost.
